Texas CDL Road Signs

Texas follows the federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). The Texas CDL knowledge test includes a road-sign section.

Quick reference

• Regulatory (white/red/black): Stop, Yield, Speed Limit.
• Warning (yellow diamond): curve, bump, merge.
• Construction (orange): work zone, flagger.
• Guide (green): distance, exits.
• Service (blue): hospital, food, fuel.
• School (pentagon, fluorescent yellow-green): school zone.
