How to Get a Massachusetts CDL

Getting a Massachusetts CDL takes age checks, a DOT physical, study, knowledge tests, ELDT, a 14-day CLP wait, and a road test. Drivers under 21 receive a 'K' restriction limiting them to intrastate operation.

1. Confirm your age: 18 for intrastate-only (with u0027Ku0027 restriction), 21 for interstate or hazmat operation.
